Your privacy choices
Last updated 16 August 2026 · Dossier — Resume Builder & CV Maker
The short version. Dossier has nothing to opt out of on our side, because we hold nothing. Your resumes stay on your phone, we have no account system and no server, and we do not sell or share personal information. The only choices worth making are about advertising, and every one of them is in your own hands — listed below.
Turn off personalised advertising
Dossier shows optional reward videos supplied by Google AdMob. You can stop those being personalised without giving anything up — you will still see ads if you choose to watch one, they simply will not be targeted.
- iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, then turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track. If you already answered Dossier's prompt, you can change your answer in the same place.
- Android: Settings › Google › Ads, then Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
You can also manage what Google holds through Google My Ad Center.
Remove advertising completely
Buying Dossier Premium removes advertising from the app permanently. It is a single payment, not a subscription.
Reward videos are optional in any case: nothing in Dossier is locked behind watching one, and exporting your resume as a clean, unwatermarked PDF is free whether you watch an ad or not.
Use the app with no connection at all
Everything except advertising and purchases works offline. With no internet connection Dossier makes no network requests of any kind, so nothing leaves the device even in principle.
Delete your information
Your resumes, cover letters, photos and settings live on your device and nowhere else.
- Delete one document: open the menu on any resume or letter and choose Delete.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app. That removes all of it.
Because we never receive a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf — and nothing we could restore if you lose your phone. If you want a copy you control, use Backup and set a password.
Withdraw photo access
If you allowed Dossier to open your photo library or camera to add a picture to a resume, you can withdraw that at any time in your phone's settings. The app continues to work without it, and several resume formats never show a photograph.
Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws. We have no data to sell: there is no account, no server and no analytics.
Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising described in our privacy policy, and the controls above are the way to limit that processing.
Other rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Because everything is on your device, the controls on this page are faster than any request to us would be. If you want to write to us anyway, we will help where we can.
