PDF Medic privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026 · Applies to PDF Medic on iOS and Android
The short version. Your files never leave your phone. Every tool in PDF Medic — merging, compressing, scanning, signing, passwords, watermarks — runs on the device itself. There is no account, no sign-in and no server of ours, so there is nowhere for a document to be sent and no copy for us to hold. The only information that leaves your device is what Google needs to show an optional reward video, and what Apple or Google needs to process a purchase.
1. Who we are
PDF Medic is published by Muhammad Jaisal P P, trading as Dexaloop, an independent developer. For data protection purposes, Muhammad Jaisal P P is the data controller for the limited processing described here.

2. What this covers
This policy covers the mobile app PDF Medic on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Dexaloop's other apps have their own policies; this page exists because PDF Medic handles your documents, and that deserves to be described exactly.
3. What stays on your device
PDF Medic does its work on your phone. A file you open is read by the app, changed by the app, and written back by the app, without being uploaded anywhere. The following is kept in the app's private storage on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Copies of recent results — the last PDFs the app made for you, shown in the Files tab so you can share them again or continue in another tool. The oldest are removed automatically as new ones are made.
- Drafts you choose to save — for example a half-filled form or a set of scanned pages — including the document or photos they are made from.
- Watermark setups and logos you save for reuse.
- Your settings — theme, language and your last-used options.
- A record of your purchase, so the app knows the Lifetime upgrade is unlocked.
Documents can contain anything — identity cards, contracts, bank statements, medical letters. PDF Medic treats them all the same way: it does not read them for any purpose other than carrying out the tool you chose, it does not analyse them, and it does not send them or anything derived from them to anyone.
Deleting a file in the Files tab removes the app's copy. Deleting the app removes all of it. We never receive a copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and nothing we could restore. Your device's own backup system may include the app's storage; that is between you and Apple or Google. Deleting the app's copy does not affect the original file or any copy you saved elsewhere.
4. Passwords and signatures
When you add or remove a PDF password, the password you type is used on your device to encrypt or decrypt that file and is then discarded. It is not stored by the app and is never sent anywhere. PDF Medic cannot recover a forgotten password, and it only removes a password that you type in yourself.
A signature you draw is turned into a picture on your device and placed on the page you choose. It is kept only inside the document you save and, if you save a draft, inside that draft.
5. Camera and photos
Scanning a document uses your phone's camera, and the app asks permission before the first scan. The pictures are used to build your PDF and are not uploaded. Adding photos or a logo uses your phone's own photo picker, which hands the app only the pictures you select; the app cannot see the rest of your library. Both permissions can be refused or withdrawn in your phone's settings, and every tool that does not need them keeps working.
6. Saving and sharing
When you save or share a result, the file is handed to your phone's own save or share sheet, where you choose what happens to it. PDF Medic does not know where you saved or sent it. Once you share a file, the app or service you shared it with applies its own terms.
Results saved without removing it carry a small "Made with PDF Medic" mark in a corner of the page. The mark is part of the file and contains no information about you or your device.
7. Information collected by others
We run no servers and no analytics of our own. Two third parties may receive limited information.
Advertising — Google AdMob
PDF Medic shows optional reward videos only. There are no banners, no full-screen ads between screens and no ads that appear without you choosing to watch one. A reward video is offered when you save a result: watching it saves that file without the "Made with PDF Medic" mark. If you never tap one, or you are offline, no ad is shown.
When the app requests or shows an ad, Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) may process:
- Your device's advertising identifier — the Google Advertising ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS, and on iOS only if you allow tracking
- Technical device information such as model, operating system version, language, IP address and the coarse location derived from it
- Information about the ad shown, including whether you watched it through
Google acts as an independent controller for this. See Google's advertising privacy information and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. On iOS you will see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking identifier is used; declining is a perfectly ordinary answer that simply yields non-personalised ads.
The contents of your documents are never sent to any advertising service. Ads are never chosen using what is in your files.
Buying the Lifetime upgrade removes the mark permanently, and the app then stops offering ads.
Purchases — the App Store and Google Play
Lifetime is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your name, address, card details or any payment information. We receive a confirmation that a purchase completed, and aggregate sales reports from the stores.
App distribution
Apple and Google collect their own data when you download, install or update the app, and give us anonymous aggregate statistics such as install counts and crash reports. These cannot identify you.
8. Your choices and controls
- Never watch an ad. Reward videos are optional and no tool is locked behind one. Without an ad, your file is still saved in full, with the small corner mark.
- Turn off personalised ads. iOS — Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Android — Settings › Google › Ads.
- Remove the mark and the ads by purchasing Lifetime.
- Refuse camera access. Only scanning with the camera needs it.
- Use the app with no internet connection at all. Every tool works offline; only ads and purchases need a connection.
- Delete what the app keeps — one file or draft at a time in the Files tab, or everything by uninstalling the app.
9. Children
PDF Medic is a document tool intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Advertising in PDF Medic is configured for a general audience.
10. Your legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because PDF Medic holds no accounts and we keep no server-side copy of anything, the fastest routes are the direct controls in section 8: your data is on your device, and deleting the app erases it.
For information held by Google as an advertising partner, use Google My Ad Center. You may also write to mjaisal.dev@gmail.com. If you are in the EEA or UK you may complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
11. Retention
The app's copies of your results and drafts stay on your device until you delete them, the app replaces the oldest results with newer ones, or you uninstall the app. We hold no personal data ourselves, so there is nothing for us to retain or erase on request. Google and the app stores apply their own retention periods, described in their policies.
12. International transfers
Your documents are not transferred anywhere. Our third-party providers operate globally and may process the limited advertising and purchase information described above in countries other than yours, including the United States, under the safeguards set out in their own policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app changes or when the law requires it, and the date at the top will change with it. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's store listing update notes.
