PDF Medic terms of use

Last updated 4 October 2026 · Applies to PDF Medic on iOS and Android

The short version. PDF Medic is a set of tools for working on your own PDF files, on your own phone. Your files are yours — we claim no rights over them and never see them. Every tool is free. A file saved for free carries a small "Made with PDF Medic" mark; watching one optional video, or a single Lifetime payment, saves it without the mark. Keep your originals: the app always writes a new file, but you are responsible for your own documents and passwords.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Muhammad Jaisal P P, trading as Dexaloop, for your use of the PDF Medic app. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The store you downloaded it from also applies its own terms.

2. Your licence to use PDF Medic

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PDF Medic on devices you own or control, for your own personal or business documents. You may not copy, resell, rent or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law gives you that right. The app includes open-source software, listed with its licences under Settings › Open-source licences; those licences govern that software.

3. Your files are yours

You keep every right in the documents you open, scan, sign and save. PDF Medic processes them on your device only; we have no access to them and claim nothing over them or over the files the app produces for you.

4. What is free

Every tool in PDF Medic can be used without paying and without watching an advertisement. A result saved this way is complete and usable, and carries a small "Made with PDF Medic" mark in a corner of the page.

5. Lifetime

Lifetime is a single, one-time purchase — not a subscription, with nothing to renew or cancel. It removes the "Made with PDF Medic" mark from everything you save, on every device signed in to the same store account, for as long as the app is available. Payment is taken by Apple or Google under their terms, and refunds are handled by them.

6. Reward videos

When you save a result you may choose to watch one reward video; doing so saves that file without the mark. Watching is always your choice. If no video is available — for example when you are offline — the file is saved with the mark. The app shows no banners and no ads that interrupt your work.

7. Passwords, limits and signatures

PDF Medic removes a PDF password only when you type that password in. It does not guess or break passwords, and it does not remove an owner's limits on printing, copying or editing without the owner's permissions password. If you forget a password you set, we cannot recover it — nobody can; that is what the encryption is for.

Limits on printing, copying and editing are a request that most PDF apps honour and some ignore. For real secrecy, use a password to open the file.

Changing a digitally signed PDF makes its signature show as invalid. The app warns you and asks you to confirm before it does this. A signature you draw with your finger is a picture placed on the page; whether it is legally sufficient for a particular purpose depends on the law and the recipient, not on the app.

8. Originals and data loss

PDF Medic never overwrites the file you opened; every result is a new file. Even so, keep your originals, and check a result before you rely on it or delete the source. The copies and drafts the app keeps are a convenience, not a backup: they live only on your device and are removed if you delete them or uninstall the app.

9. Acceptable use

Use PDF Medic only on documents you have the right to work on. Do not use it to alter documents in order to deceive, to forge signatures or stamps, to misrepresent identity or qualifications, or to get around protection on a file you are not entitled to open. We cannot see what you do with the app, so this is a matter of your own responsibility rather than something we police.

10. Availability and changes

PDF Medic works offline, so ordinary use does not depend on us keeping anything running. We may update the app, change or remove features, and adjust these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page and in the store listing's update notes. We may stop distributing the app, in which case copies already installed continue to work.

11. Disclaimer

PDF Medic is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every PDF can be processed, or that a file it produces will be accepted by any particular website, office or system.

Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for a missed deadline or rejected submission, for a forgotten password, or for loss of a document where the original was available and not kept. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, and have no obligation to provide support for it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kerala, India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
