CBSE Date Sheet 2027 for Class 10 and Class 12

The CBSE board exams for 2027 begin on Tuesday, 16 February 2027 for both Class 10 and Class 12. The last Class 10 paper is on Tuesday, 9 March 2027; Class 12 continues until Friday, 9 April 2027. All papers begin at 10:30 am Indian Standard Time. CBSE released this date sheet on 6 November 2026, and every date below is taken from that circular, paper by paper.

From 7 November 2026, the first paper is 101 days away. The Class 12 season runs for 53 days from start to finish, so most Class 12 students have long breaks between their papers.
Class 10: when the main subjects fall
Only Painting is on Tue 16 Feb. For almost every Class 10 student the board exams really begin with Mathematics on Wednesday, 17 February 2027. Here are the five papers most students take, in the order they come, with the free days you get before each one.

The two Mathematics papers share one day. So do the two English courses, and so do the two Hindi courses. Popular electives: Computer Applications, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence are all on Wed 24 Feb; Malayalam on Sat 27 Feb; Arabic and Sanskrit on Mon 1 Mar; Tamil and Urdu Course A on Thu 4 Mar; French on Sat 6 Mar.

Class 12 papers are spread over 40 exam days, so the gaps between your own papers depend on your stream. The tables below put each stream's usual subjects in exam order.

Physics is on the very first day, so Science students start on Tue 16 Feb. Biology comes late, on Thu 25 Mar, which leaves PCB students a long stretch to prepare for it.

What time the papers start where you live
CBSE runs one schedule worldwide, set in Indian time. A paper that starts at 10:30 am in India starts at the same moment everywhere else, so the local clock time changes. None of these countries changes its clocks between February and April, so the times hold for the whole season.

Most papers last three hours. A smaller group, including Painting, the music subjects and many skill subjects, lasts two hours; the full tables mark them. Your admit card gives the time you must report to your centre, which is earlier than the start time.

Is this date sheet final?
Yes. CBSE's circular of 6 November 2026 states that candidate registration is closed and the date sheets for the exams starting Tuesday, 16 February 2027 are now final. Boards can still change a date when something unexpected happens. If CBSE issues a revision, this page will show the new date and say what changed.
Practical exams and the second board exam
CBSE's date sheet covers written papers only. In its report on the release, All India Radio News gave the window for practical exams and internal assessment in the 2026 to 2027 session as 1 January to 13 February 2027. Your school picks the exact day of each practical inside that window, so check its own notice.
As of 7 November 2026, no date sheet has appeared yet for a second Class 10 board exam in 2027. We will add one here once CBSE issues it.
Using the gaps well
The free days in the tables above are the real study plan. A worked example for Class 10: Mathematics is on Wed 17 Feb and Science on Mon 22 Feb, so you have 4 free days for Science after the Maths paper. Spend them on Science only, with past papers and your own mistakes, rather than starting new chapters.
- Write your own papers into a calendar now, with the free days before each one.
- Finish new learning for the early papers before practicals start in January.
- Do at least one full paper in three hours, starting at the real start time for where you live.
- Keep the last free day before each paper for revision and sleep, not new material.
