Why PDF Medic exists
Everyday PDF jobs often involve private papers: a passport scan for a visa form, a salary letter for a bank, a medical report for an insurer. Most free PDF sites do the work on their own servers, which means your document travels to a stranger's computer first.
PDF Medic Online does the same jobs inside your web browser. The file is read and changed on your own device, and you download a new copy. That makes it fast on a slow connection, and it means there is nothing on our side to leak.
The tools
22 tools, plus ready-made size targets
Image tools
6 tools
For the photo and signature rules of online applications.
Size targets
Ready-set pages
For forms that only accept files under a set size.
Rules the tools always follow
So a free tool never costs you a document
Your original is never changed
Every tool makes a new file for you to download. The file you opened stays as it was.
Passwords are never guessed
A locked PDF opens only with the password you type, and owner limits stay until you give the owner's password.
Signatures are protected
If a change would break a digital signature, you are warned before it happens.
Redaction removes, not covers
Redact PDF finds card numbers, IBANs, ID numbers and passport lines, then takes the text out of the file under each box.
Edits keep the font
Edit PDF changes the words already on a page in the same font when the font has the letters, and picks a close match when it does not.
Arabic is a first language
The whole site is in Arabic as well as English, and Arabic text is joined and laid out right to left.
The PDF Medic app for iPhone
The PDF Medic app for iPhone is built on the same engine and works offline. It is coming soon to the App Store. Its legal pages are already published: privacy policy, terms of use and support.
Questions about PDF Medic
Are my files uploaded?
No. PDF Medic Online reads and changes your file inside your web browser, on your own device. The file is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Is PDF Medic Online free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The site will be supported by ads on its pages.
Can it remove a PDF password?
Only with the right password, which you type. Unlock PDF never guesses or cracks a password, and a PDF locked by its owner stays locked until you give the owner's password.
Does Redact PDF really remove the text?
Yes. The words under each black box are taken out of the file, not just covered, so they cannot be copied out afterwards. Each page with a box is redrawn as a sharp picture, and you check every match before it is applied.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. The whole site is available in Arabic at pdf.dexaloop.com/ar, and Edit PDF can change and add Arabic text with the letters joined correctly.
Is there an app?
The PDF Medic app for iPhone is built on the same engine and is coming soon. Its privacy policy, terms and support page are already published below.
