What Dexaloop Tools is

Dexaloop Tools is a set of free calculators for everyday jobs: adding up a week's time card with lunch breaks, counting the working days between two dates, finding the grade you need on a final exam, or measuring how much paint a room takes. It lives at tools.dexaloop.com.

Most calculator sites give you a number and nothing else. Dexaloop Tools shows the steps it took, so you can check the figure against a payslip, a contract or a teacher's marking scheme. Where the answer depends on a law or an official rule, the page quotes that rule, links to it, and says when it was last checked.

How the calculators are made

Each tool starts from a written rule. For overtime in the US that is the Fair Labor Standards Act; for UK holiday entitlement it is the statutory 5.6 weeks; for a dog's age it is the American Kennel Club's size chart, with the newer DNA-based formula alongside. The rule is written into the page in plain words before any code is written.

Every formula is then tested against worked examples, including the awkward cases: shifts that cross midnight, leap years, the last day of a month, and a 29 February birthday. The tests are run again before a page is published.

Your information stays with you

All calculations run in your web browser. Nothing you type is sent to our servers. If you tick the option, a tool can remember your entries on your own device, and you can clear them at any time.

Who it is for

  • Hourly workers and payroll staff checking a time card or an overtime figure.
  • Students and teachers working out grades, curves and averages.
  • Home owners and builders estimating materials before a trip to the store.
  • Freelancers and small shops pricing work and writing an invoice.
  • Developers who want to decode a token or a timestamp without pasting it into a stranger's server.

Questions about Dexaloop Tools

Is Dexaloop Tools free?

Yes. Every calculator is free to use, with no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it. The site will be supported by ads on its pages.

Is anything I type sent to a server?

No. The calculations run in your web browser. Some tools can remember your entries on your device if you choose, and the home page counts which tools you use, on your device only, to show them first.

Whose rules do the work and pay calculators follow?

The ones the page names. Overtime follows the US Fair Labor Standards Act; pro-rata pay, holiday entitlement and VAT follow UK rules, and degree classes follow common UK university rules. Each page quotes and links its official source and shows the date it was last checked.

Are the results legal, tax or payroll advice?

No. They are estimates to help you check your own figures. Your employer's records and the law always decide.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Every page works on phones, tablets and computers, in any up-to-date browser, and nothing needs installing.

How do I report a wrong answer?

Use the contact page on the site, or email support@dexaloop.com with the inputs you used. Corrections are made quickly and noted on the page.
